An action implicitly has an answer to the need of an organization. It is registered by a company representative and has the goal of coming up with solutions to a problem raised. The registered problem is visible to the entire organization, thus allowing all members to contribute to its resolution. The launching of an action is somewhat similar to the register of an idea, by carrying out its initial register.
"An idea is an image which is created in our mind and implicitly expresses an intention. It is the result of the activity of thinking and being creative."
The application Lagoon® Ideas enables the analysis and pre-selection of the registered ideas. All ideas are good, however, not all may be transformed into business projects. The management process of ideas is simple and intuitive, enabling all employees from your organization to use the application. Hence, promoting creativity and innovation.
Interfaces represent the ability of the organization to communicate (via internally and externally), highlighting innovation skills and the ability to learn with regard to new cycles of innovation. Interfaces may be categorized into technology interfaces (surveillance, cooperation and expectations), market interfaces (internal and external analysis, new clients and intellectual property) and organizational interfaces (internal creativity, ability to organize and knowledge management). The interfaces ensure the circulation and the transfer of knowledge between the innovative activity of the organization and its environment.
The process of managing ideas does not have to follow the same guidelines for all organizations. Each organization is able to adapt the process to its own reality. Thus, simplifying the different stages of the management of ideas. The reception and pre-analysis of ideas, followed by the analysis and decision by the innovation board are unavoidable stages in this process. The remaining stages are not compulsory; however they may assist in the management process of ideas. The launching of an action occurs when there is the need of a solution to a problem. The register of an action implies the register of ideas and its assessment.
The management of interfaces implies the analysis and the engagement of two ecosystems:
Macro-environment: Educational and training systems, technological and scientific systems, data infrastructures, regulators and investors are considered.
Micro-environment: Suppliers, consultants, partners, distributors, clients and competing companies are considered.
These two ecosystems enable the analysis of three interfaces which define a boundary of skills where knowledge flows and is transferred. The referred interfaces are essential for an efficient management of innovative ideas as they consolidate the corporate ability to develop innovation projects. Hence, linking existing knowledge or creating new knowledge in the required fields.
The interfaces are defined as technology interface, market interface and organizational interface.
